Q. Is it possible to modernise our existing logo rather than do a complete redesign?

A. Yes, this is the most common request for the logo design service.

Q. Is it possible to have our website logo formatted to be compatible with our printing firm, they have very exact requirements?

A. SharpPlum use industry standard software for both web and print. Almost all printing needs can be accomodated. Just send an e-Mail with your specific requirements.

Q. Are the logos you produce suitable for printing on A4 letterheads?

A. Yes, all logos designs are provided in a full range of formats which includes professional printing, websites, business cards or black and white A4 printers. Professional print firms resize a logo themselves, but to help your in-house printing, an additional file containing your exact requirements can be provided. This is usually included in the standard price for logo design.

Q. We have an idea for our logo already but are not capable of producing a finished design ourselves. Is it possible for you to finish it?

A. It is possible to use sketches and written descriptions as the basis for a logo design. The standard logo design price still applies and the full set of file formats all remain available to you.

Q. How are the logos delivered to us if we are not buying a website?

A. Logo design is a separate service offered to anyone regardless of any other purchases (including websites). Every completed logo design is made available for immediate inspection and download in a private area of the SharpPlum site and also burned to disc for postal delivery.

Q. Is it necessary to have a logo on the website?

A. The choice is entirely yours. The majority of commercial organisations already have a logo as it enhances the identity of a firm, usually this same logo is transfered to the website. It is recommended that small to medium enterprises invest in a logo design that reflects their business operations but their are times when this is not simply needed, such as a website that sells one persons knitting patterns, here the site should reflect the small and friendly attitude of the owner and not concern itself with standard commercial websites.

Q. I only need a logo designing nothing else (I don't have a website), does this cause a problem?

A. Not at all. The logo design service is a separate and full service available to any organisation. Whilst other design and internet services are offered, it is not necessary to make any other purchase.

Q. Once I have bought the logo package who owns the rights to the design and can I use it for whatever I like, not just the website?

A. The payment for the logo design package includes the purchase of all rights to the design, not just the graphic files that you receive. SharpPlum transfers all rights to the design upon completion of payment. The logo design package includes design files for use in most commercial applications (e.g posters signs and magazines) along with design files specifically for online use. To clarify, you may do as you please following payment for the logo design.

Q. Can we get an exact colour match from our old logo? It is vital that the same colours are maintained as we have long been identified with our 2 colour scheme.

A. Every colour in both the website and print industry has a unique code, if this code (from old files or written document) is available then the task of colour matching is made quite simple. If such information has been lost over time then a few samples of the logo such as brochures, catalogues or adverts can be studied. There will be a small additional charge for this service. SharpPlum uses high quality industry standard software to accurately calibrate colour.
